Casablaca, Morocco. Zineb is 27 years old. She's a repeat offender and is incarcerated. When she finds out that her 9-year-old daughter Inès is going to be taken out of school and placed in a child protection centre, she escapes from prison and kidnaps her daughter before fleeing south. On the road, she robs a truck and takes its driver, a young woman named Asma, hostage. The trio are soon chased by the police, and it's the start of a long journey for our protagonists who will cross the Atlas Mountains, its red rocks and valleys of flowers, before finally reaching the Great South and the Atlantic.
