Since 2016, screen.brussels has invested in productions that spend all or part of their audiovisual budget in the Brussels-Capital Region. Our goal is to have a structural impact in the audiovisual industry of the Brussels-Capital Region that benefits all European filmmakers.

The screen.brussels rules

To request funding from screen.brussels, the works must fulfil a certain number of cultural and economic criteria. This includes accounting for a minimum eligible expenditure in the Brussels-Capital Region, proving that a percentage of the funding has already been acquired, and/or acting on behalf of a commercial production company established in Belgium.

Session dates
Every year, screen.brussels holds three funding sessions: in January, May and September.
