Years of experience in the Belgian film and television sector have made me multi-deployable within various functions.
That it would be something with video and sound was clear from a young age. That it was going to be something with people, real stories and in-depth investigative journalism became clear after an internship at the documentary production house Off World at the age of eighteen.
After studying philosophy at the KU Leuven, I took a course in Film at the Sint-Lukas (Brussels) which was later followed by a specific course in Documentary at the RITCS.
Over the years, I worked in different positions in the audiovisual sector. I directed non-fiction projects, some initiated by myself and others commissioned. Production work I did for example -ten years after I did an internship there- as production manager for Off World. I also worked for several productions as a researcher or editor.
Besides this, I also have technical knowledge. Because of my partner's work, I lived and worked in Australia for a long time. There I further specialized in sound recording and worked, as my IMDB states, on some major productions ( https://www.imdb.com/name/nm14150948/).
Equally, I often set out with a camera (FS7) as a one-person crew for reports or portraits. All of this gives me a unique profile that has knowledge of the various departments so I know how to relate to all to the challenges they face.
