Beschrijving
Gert Verbeeck is a Brussels-based writer, director and producer, who earned his experience on films, TV series and documentaries. His film education was formed at LUCA School of Arts (Brussels) with emphasis on screenplay writing and directing fiction.
Production work followed for Belgian companies, such as Menuet Films (production design), Woestijnvis (editing) and Studio A (locations). In the field of documentary, a recent collaboration with The Polish National Film School (Łódź) came to fruition, initially established by an on-going workshop series.
His first coordinated efforts as an independent filmmaker and producer in the Brussels region were dedicated to unifying teamwork between Flanders and Wallonia with emphasis on diversity and equality. His subsequent work in both fiction and documentary cinema proceeded to connect on a European level and further evolved toward intercontinental collaborations (USA & Latin America).
