Synopsis
I am Chance tells the story of a group of young girls living in the streets of Kinshasa. Street life and paradoxes: they are in turn untimely, wise, innocent, mischievous, impertinent, resilient and above all, free. Chancelvie and her friends face the world and its difficulties with smile and resilience. They steal but they share the loot, make passes but also art. I am Chance is a snapshot of Kinshasa, megalopolis of a colorful, pop and artistic Africa. Kinshasa is the other character of the film whose thousand rhythmic voices form a choir with those of the girls.
