Synopsis
An extra is a silhouette without a role, without a name and without a voice that walks through the sets, so that the scenes of a film seem more real. They look for blondes, workers, Africans, North Africans, teenagers, bearded men, women over 50, and other archetypes segmenting people into multiple communities. But who is really hiding behind these labels, what humans, what part of humanity, what people? Starting from this categorisation of extras known in fiction cinema, the film questions the idea of the people and its representation within democracies.
