When Valentine marries Jules at age 20, it is the end of the 19th century. At the end of the following century, a young Parisian, the great-granddaughter of Valentine, is running on a bridge and runs into the arms of a man she loves. Between these two moments, men and women meet, love each other, embrace for a century, accomplishing loving destinies and establishing a family tree. An eternity.
