In 1993, Tomas Leyers founded DJEENI, a production company that specializes in video productions for events and corporate communication. Meanwhile he also produced live TV–events for national television. Out of this niche, He developed a personal track record of artistic directions and productions on some of the biggest events in Belgium (Belgium Dances, 175-25 years Belgium, Celebration of 10 years King Albert II). But film always was his first love. So in 2003, he decided to found a new production company focused on feature film production. Hence MINDS MEET was born, for the creation and production of inventive international European cinema. And for the love of a good film. Launched into production with the EAVE workshop in 2006, Tomas Leyers has produced over 12 feature films, co-produced more then 15 feature films and several shorts and animation films since. With a focus on European art-house cinema, he has got films selected in festivals like Cannes, Berlin, Venice and Toronto and many others. He has participated in workshops like EAVE, EP2C, EAVE+, Puentes-Australab. Together with Hans Everaert he aslo founded Pollock & Bacon, a new production entity focused on prestige feature film projects. Since 2020 he is also the director of the Royal Belgian Film Archive, aka CINEMATEK in Brussels.
