Along the Beco basin to the east, the Quai des Péniches is a long artery starting at Square Sainctelette and ending at Place des Armateurs. It crosses on its route the Quai de la Voirie and the Rue de la Dyle.
The quay was created in parallel with the drilling of the Jonction basin, the future Béco basin, completed in 1905.
