National Basilica of the Sacred Heart

The National Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Koekelberg (1905) is the fifth largest church in the world and the largest Art Deco building ever built. Located in Elisabeth Park, on the territory of the municipalities of Koekelberg and Ganshoren, it is also known as the Basilica of Koekelberg. The church, built of brick and reinforced concrete, features two towers and a green-patinated copper dome that rises 89 meters above the ground, dominating the northwestern skyline of Brussels.

The Basilica also houses the Black Sisters Museum and the Modern Religious Art.Museum
