Description
Lunanime is a film production company created within the Lumière Group in 2008 and focuses mainly on fiction and animation projects. The animation projects are produced in-house in our animation studio StudioLumière.
Lunanime produced several feature films, such as Vanja d'Alcantara's debut film BEYOND THE STEPPES, OFFLINE by Peter Monsaert. Furthermore, Lunanime co-produced films as DE ROUILLE ET D'OS (Rust and Bone) by Jacques Audiard and A CAT IN PARIS (Une Vie De Chat) by Jean-Loup Felicioli and Alain Gagnol, a co-production with Folimage which was honored with an Oscar nomination in the category ‘best animated feature’ (in 2012). In 2014-2015, Lunanime co-produced the second feature film by this directors duo: PHANTOM BOY.
LES COWBOYS, the debut by Thomas Bidegain (screenwriter of Un Prophète and De Rouille et d’Os) was a co-production by Lunanime and Les Productions Du Trésor and premiered in Cannes 2015. Another co-production with Trésor is MAL DE PIERRES (Nicole Garcia, starring Marion Cotillard) which premiered in Cannes 2016.
Furthermore, Lunanime (co-)produced several animation shorts, such as: JAZZED, THE SWIMMING LESSON, BETTY’S BLUES, VOL AU VENT, THE EDUCATION, THE TIE, RAPSODIE EN ROSE, TANK, COCKROACH AND THE SEA, TOTEMS, UN PLAN D’ENFER,…
