Clin d’oeil films is a Belgian audiovisual company managed by Antoine Vermeesch and Hanne Phlypo. The company focuses on creative documentaries and author-driven film with a clear preference for engaged cinema from creative and innovative talents.
Clin d’oeil films has been active since 2010 and scored internationally with the acclaimed debut film Waiting for August (a.o. award at Hot Docs and EFA nomination), Houses With Small Windows (selection for Venice Film Festival and EFA nomination), the co-production A Family Affair (opening film at IDFA and EFA nomination) and more recent with By the Name of Tania (selection for Berlin 2019, winner Raindance 2019), Transnistra (Big Screen Award in Rotterdam 2019), Gods of Molenbeek (opening film Visions du Réel 2019) and Overseas (selection for Locarno 2019).
Clin d’oeil films is active at the international market and co-produces with a.o. Danish Documentary, Momento Films, BALDR Film, Een van de jongens, Dérives, Iota Productions, Les films de l’oeil sauvage and Petit à Petit Production. Our films are represented by international sales agents, including Autlook, Cat&Docs, Rise&Shine, Pluto Film and Ro*co Films and sold worldwide to television channels, VOD platforms and distributors.
