Augustin Izoard

In 2019, Augustin Izoard has completed an undergraduate Songwriting degree with a “First Class Honours” at the British and Irish Institute of Modern Music in London. During these studies, he has made the choice to follow the moving image module which has confirmed his deep interest for the composition for screen. The desire to become a composer for screen also comes from a passion for classical music which he learnt at the “Brussels Music Academy” during ten years. Indeed, he grew up listening to classical composers from the Renaissance to Minimalism era. 

​Over the last three years, Augustin has started to build an extensive experience through various musical compositions for visual projects, such as documentaries for the Belgian television “RTBF”, a couple of short films, as well as a long feature soundtrack ( ‘Stardust’ realised by Raphael Enlas-Buisson, 2019). 

​Augustin has also gained some instrumentation arrangements and orchestral skills, having being part of different music band projects over the past five years. This has given him the opportunity to develop a strong expertise with different digital audio workstations. Having composed music for those different projects allowed him to vary his style of composition mixing the use of electronic and orchestral instruments.

Currently, Augustin is based and works in Brussels and has collected 4 awards for "Best Original Score" so fare.
