New cash rebate scheme in Poland
From January 2019, a new scheme of public support for national film production and international co-production will enter into force in Poland, the “cash rebate” . It can be used to reimburse 30% of the planned costs of a project, namely of the expenditures made in Poland for the project, with a cap of 4 millons USD per project. This scheme can be used in addition to the support of one the 10 Polish Regional Film funds. This opens the door for co-production projects between Poland and Belgium.
The Polish Producers Alliance (KIPA) has already selected
- 6 features film projects with budget from 1,5 M up to 5 M €,
- 8 documentaries projects with budget from 150.000 € up to 600.000 €
