During the Cold War, France decided to loan the Mona Lisa to the United States. André Malraux was personally tasked by De Gaulle to deliver the painting to Jackie Kennedy aboard the France, the new flagship of the French shipyards. But during the crossing of the Atlantic Ocean, the Mona Lisa disappears. Malraux, in the midst of a severe paranoid crisis, finds himself in a race against time to recover the painting and prevent an unprecedented diplomatic crisis.
