Synopsis
Alex is thirtysomething, and his mother Suzanne is an elegant and charismatic woman in her sixties who runs a contemporary art centre in Brussels. Suzanne slowly starts doing some very odd things. One day, at the neurologist’s office, Alex understands why: she has a fatal neuro-degenerative disease known as semantic dementia, which is affecting her behaviour. Suzanne steals cars, cuts her neighbours’ hair while they sleep and prints her own banknotes in order to buy cigarettes. She goes from mother to out-of-control child and it is Alex and his partner Noémie who become the parents.
