Parc Elisabeth

The Elisabeth Park opens with one of the most beautiful perspectives of Brussels with its tree-lined avenues: it plunges from the Koekelberg Basilica to the Botanical Garden along the Boulevard Léopold II. Designed in the same spirit as the Jubilee Park, this historic park has a central alley which is the backbone of this great promenade. It consists of a grassy berm, set with two tree-lined avenues and, on the sides, lawns crossed by winding paths and punctuated with clumps of trees and shrubs. A tram track sheltered under the trees borders on one side, while avenues of National Glories and Pantheon consist of Brussels mansions of various styles.
