Calls for projects

The Serien Festival Basel is launching its first pitching session for series in development, taking place from June 12 to 14, 2025, in Basel. This competition encourages the creation of original series incorporating an element of "Swiss DNA", although it is not mandatory this year. Producers, directors, showrunners, and screenwriters are invited to submit their fiction projects with at least 4 episodes of 26 minutes or more.

The six best projects will be selected for a final pitch in front of an expert jury, and the winner will receive a 10,000 CHF development grant.

The Content Warsaw Copro Pitch 2025 is a competition for scripted and unscripted projects in development, led by producers from Central and Eastern Europe seeking regional or international partners.

Shortlisted projects will be pitched live at Content Warsaw, from June 2 to 5, 2025. Two winners (one per category) will receive a $15,000 USD marketing package on C21Media platforms to support development and pre-sale promotion.

Eligible projects must be scripted series or feature-length documentaries in early development, with partial financing already secured.

The Final Cut in Venice program, organized as part of the Venice Production Bridge, supports the completion of films from Africa and the Arab world (Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, Syria, Yemen). It allows filmmakers and producers to present their films to cinema professionals for guidance and funding opportunities.

The six selected films will benefit from private screenings and meetings with industry experts. Several in-kind and cash prizes, including a €5,000 award granted by La Biennale di Venezia, will be awarded to support post-production (color grading, sound mixing, subtitling, etc.).
