Julie Naas is a Film Editor.
She was born in Vannes in the region of Brittany in France.
After obtaining her baccalaureate in literature in 2002, she entered the IAD in
Louvain-La-Neuve, Belgium.
First of all, she edited various short fictions among which: Nothing insoluble
(2005), The crab (2007), Mauvaise lune (2011), Malta Kano,TX (2015) and The
Tubes (2015), The plumber (2016), The screenwriter (2017), La meilleure
manière... (2018), Famille (2019).
She also edits documentaries such as: Carnet d'images d'Henri Storck by Luc de
Heusch (2006), Dreamcatchers by Xavier Seron and Cédric Bourgeois (2013), In
god’s hand by Peter Woditsch (2014), Shipwrecked America by Alexandra
Kandy-Longuet (2016), Ongles Rouges by Valérie Vanhoutvinck (2017), Le
collectionneur by Pierre Maillard (2018), Holy Tour by Valéry Rosier and Méryl
Fortunat-Rossi (2018), and more recently Dragon Women by Frédérique de
Montblanc and Dreaming Walls by Amélie Van Elmbt and Maya Duverdier.
She also edits episodes of the series The Break by Matthieu Donck, Benjamin
d'Aoust and Stéphane Bergmans (2016).
She works as a chief editor on the feature films Death by death by Xavier Seron
(Palm Springs Winner New Voices/New Visions Grand Jury Prize 2016, Magritte
Awards Nominee Best Editing 2017), Un homme à la mer by Géraldine Doignon
(2016), Even lovers get the blues (2016) by Laurent Micheli, Adam by Maryam
Touzani (Un certain regard Cannes 2019, Carthage Film Festival Winner Best
Editing 2019), Lola and the sea by Laurent Micheli (Nominee Cesar Best Foreign
Film 2020, Magritte Awards Nominee Best Editing 2020), Dark heart of the forest
by Serge Mirzabekiantz (PÖFF Tallin 2021).
Recently, she edited the first feature film by Cédric Bourgeois, Krump, Christophe
Cotteret's documentary, Autopsy of an Instruction, Léa Jade-Horlier's short film,
Mary Ann and Xavier Seron's new feature film, Chiennes de vies.
