Professional meetings, selected projects, have a look at the BRIFF's 2022 edition:  

Co-production Market 

The Brussels Co-Production Market is an initiative that aims at supporting promising feature films in development and connecting them with potential partners. Created in 2016 with a focus on helping European producers with finding Belgian minority co-productions, it has been divided in two different sections:Gap financing sessions and Up-&-Coming Producers.

PITCH

Organised in partnership with ASA and l'ARRF, PiTCH aims at connecting film authors, resident of the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles (the French-speaking Community of Belgium) with potential partners for their feature fiction project (producers, broadcasters, sales agents, distributors, …) during a pitch session.

=> Like last year, a prize of 1.000€ will be awarded to a project that highlights Brussels!

When? 21, 24, 27 and 28 June

De Brussels' line up

Three projects supported by screen.brussels made it through the National Selection of this 2022 edition of the Briff:  

DRAGON WOMEN (29 and 30/06)

Documentary, by Frédérique de Montblanc. Women in finance represent a minority – yet they are often called ‘Dragons’. This documentary presents a series of intimate portraits of senior women in the finance sector. They tell us how they survive in one of the most competitive professions in the world.

KRUMP (26 and 27/06)

Fiction; Long feature by Cédric Bourgeois. Frank, a fallen former Belgian porn star known as Ronald Krump, must find 50,000 euros to save his daughter who has been kidnapped.
Ruined and in debt, he will have to turn to old porn acquaintances to raise the money. Then begins a race against time to save what matters most to him: his daughter.

ENTRE LA VIE ET LA MORT (25 and 26/06)

Leo Castaneda is Spanish, he lives in Brussels, where he drives the metros of the line 6. One evening, he catches the eye of a young man at the edge of the platform. Feverish eyes of distress, a familiar face… Leo recognizes his son Hugo, when he tragically disappears on the tracks! Leo who had not seen him for more than two years, will discover that Hugo was involved in a bloody robbery. He will have to face some violent criminals to try to understand the reasons behind the death of his son.
