The rue de la Régence links the Place des Palais to the Place Poelaert.
It was built in 2 stages, in the first part of the XIXth century for the section going from the Place Royale to the Sablon and in the second part of the XIXth for the Sablon - Poelaert section.
It hosts several remarkable buildings:
• the Palace of the Count of Flanders, today hosting the Belgian Court of Auditors.
• the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium.
• the Royal Conservatory of Brussels.
• the Great Synagogue of Brussels.
